Felix, thanks for your inquiry. This home is priced @ $349,876. I don’t have specific information on the utilities, but could certainly investigate that for you, and the property taxes for 2007 were $2,671.

If you’d like more information on this home, or others in the area, please email me. Thanks again for stopping in.

Ryan- You may want to change your heading on this home at 932 NW 16th. It is clearly in Mesta Park. This home is at 16th and Olie and is a wood frame home in the craftsman style which is a dead giveaway that it is not in Heritage Hills. I live in Mesta and know HH well and have been in many homes in both neighborhoods. Mesta Park homes were primarily built from the teens to the 1930s and heavily influenced by the craftsman and Frank Loyd Wright movements. Anyone who lives in our area will know automatically that this home is not in Heritage Hills. Just a friendly note to save you some embarrasment. Good luck.

Thanks for your input Harry. I researched this extensively when I listed this home, and if you check the county assessor/courthouse records, you'll find that this home is technically located in the 'Harndale' addition, which there seems to be some uncertainty about. Some believe Harndale to be part of Heritage Hills, while a few consider it a part of Mesta Park.

If we apply your logic, some homes in Harndale would belong to Heritage Hills, and others to Mesta Park, as there is a mixture of brick and wood-framed homes throughout Harndale. Additionally, this home is not a craftsman-style, but rather an American Foursquare, a style that you will find constructed of brick, and of wood-frame.

I'll also note that most every home in the Harndale addition is marketed as 'Heritage Hills/Harndale,' just as homes marketed in Mesta Park are listed as 'University/Mesta Park.'

With the lack of indisputable evidence, I chose to categorize this particular home in Harndale, Heritage Hills, and Mesta Park, as my primary objective is marketing the home and getting it sold for a worthy price. I'm certainly not embarassed to have sold this home for one of the highest prices-per-square-foot sold in Mesta Park over the past year, and I'm sure most homeowners in the area understand and appreciate that. In fact, your own equity likely benefited from my marketing savvy.

With your vast knowledge of the area, any definitive resources you can provide to help my readers better understand these beautiful historic homes would be greatly appreciated.

No it's not. This particular home has already sold, but if you're looking for others in the area, I'd be happy to send you all current listings. Just let me know.

    Ryan,
To save yourself some courthouse time in the future, when listing homes in historic preservation districts, you might refer to the official maps of the districts, published on the Oklahoma City government website, here: http://www.okc.gov/Planning/hp/

Harry Meister was right, this house is a lovely Mesta Park home.

Thanks for the link, Suzette… it’s a beautiful home, indeed!
